Bjørn Z. Ekelund is an accomplished professional whose career in collaboration, team development, cross-cultural leadership, and communication spans more than 30 years. He is regarded as one of Norway's leading consultants with a truly global reach.
Throughout his extensive career, Bjørn has successfully led consulting firms and completed over 1000 projects in over 20 countries, leaving an impact on teams and organizations worldwide.
Beyond consulting, Bjørn has also made contributions to academia. In 2019, he authored the book "Unleashing the Power of Diversity: How to Open Minds for Good," which explores the use of his brainchild, Diversity Icebreaker® (DI), as a tool for building common ground and trust among teams and organizations.
In recent years, Bjørn has extended his influence to the global stage. He served as a member of the planning committee for the International Leadership Association's DEIB virtual summit in 2022-2023. Additionally, he is a co-editor for the International Leadership Association series, "Building Leadership Bridges: Inclusive Leadership: Equity and Belonging in Our Communities," where he contributed the chapter "An Inclusive Language of Diversity."
